Mit dem Projekt „Gesichter des Lebens“ unterstützt Fokus Nahost e.V. assyrische Christinnen und Christen in Beirut. Der Nahe Osten ist seit Jahrtausenden Heimat der Assyrer. Die Assyrische Kirche des Ostens war einst die größte Kirche in Asien. Nach Genoziden, Vertreibung und Verfolgung haben aber immer mehr assyrische Christinnen und Christen ihre Heimat verlassen. Diejenigen, die bleiben, leiden besonders unter den Krisen und Kriegen in ihrer Heimat.
